Do you prefire boards before or after you carve them? or does it matter?

				You can do either.
I usually carve before I prefire. I like to carve on the non-painted side if possible, because the paint will flake off after a few firings. Also, don't forget to kilnwash the board after you carve.

Thanks Brad. I just got my board in the mail today. Can't wait to try it out!

I also carve before I fire.
The board is softer then -- it gets a bit more brittle after it has been fired.
The stuff is incredibly dusty -- wear a mask!
