I have a question about sandblasting, I have a compressor and I am about to buy the sandlasting gun but I am not sure what type of sand or glass do you use for sandblasting devit or other imperfections.
Thanks for any info on this.

There are two main choices, Silicon Carbide or Aluminum Oxide.
Silicon Carbide is very sharp, breaks sharp and stays aggressive until dust, and costs more.
Aluminum Oxide is softer, breaks down into dust quicker, and costs significantly less.
If you are going to blast into Irid, and later cap it, use Aluminum Oxide.

I use 120 aluminum oxide. It's a good general duty blasting material. Aggresive enough to clean up devit and KW and with light pressure will put a nice matt surface on preslumped glass. It comes out velvety.
