I am looking at purchasing a new wet saw for cutting pattern bars. I have used the super slicer on the Tauras 3. The blade broke after not much use so I think it would be nice to have something more durable for my studio. I will also use it for other types of glass project. Also what blade would you recommend for the saw. Thank you for your suggestions.

Shapes or just straight cuts?

A tile saw is the best for straight cuts,

While a Gemini is good for shapes.

You don't however really need to spend $800 to get a tile saw.

There are some 10" saws available for $200 - $300, they aren't as good as the MK but some of them work just fine. The one I have was $300.00 and I've used it regularly for 5 years without issue.

Thank you Rick. I do not mind paying a little extra for the MK 100 since it is good product. I found one close by for $650 and it will be delivered to me. I do need to figure out the blades I will be using. I did a little more research online and Clearwater Glass studio said that they use the MK 303 blade, an MK Hot Dog Blade, or a Result Blade with a wheel stiffener. This will hopefully be my only equipment purchase for the year.
