I believe I heard somewhere that in order for the colors which are called strikers - to strike, one needs to get thru a particular process , making a hold at a particular temperature , about 1238 degrees.

Has anybody heard about it too? And what is the temperature I must go thru, for how long?

I'd be grateful For your response,

Many thanks,

Havi

Havi, here is a link to a search of the Bullseye website about firing striker glass. Some of the colors require a slow firing for the color to fully appear:

Thanks Lynn!

I finally found the quotation on BE [perhaps it was on their educational video]

You have to hold 45 minutes at 1250 F - [677 centigrade] in order to 'strike' the striker colors.

many thanks again,
