:-k hi guys i am looking at buying some Ceramaguard sheets to use for making some moulds and drop rings. i want to end up with a smooth finish after carving and working on the sheets, am thinking of many coats of kiln wash then lightly sanding , or another idea was to use the dust from thin fire paper mixed in to a paste. so the question is has anyone tried this , is there a better way ? many thanks paul

Ceramaguard is easily sanded, so if you want a really smooth finish just hit it lightly with sand paper. Then kiln wash before using. If you want even less texture, you can use thinfire paper instead of kiln wash.
