Hi guys what happened to this ?? using COE96 spectrum and bullseye glass (bullseye Tekta as the base for the stringers)the full fuse program was as follow
480 per hour to 932 hold 20 minutes
asap to 1490 hold 60 mins
asap to 906 hold 60 mins
150 per hour to 200
had no problems with the fusing the blank lay around the studio for a few days
but when i stumped the piece as follows
572 per hour to 932 hold 20 mins
asap to 1202 hold 20 mins
asap to 899 hold 60 mins
212 per hour to 698
626 per hour to 176
the blank is 6 mm thick
i took the plate out at room temp ,,put it on a table top and bang!!! ,,blew up ,,it was quite cool to touch

You cant fuse Bullseye Glass (COE 90) and Spectrum Glass (COE 96) into the same piece. They are not compatible. They will do this every time. Use Bullseye only with Bullseye, and Spectrum only with Spectrum.

Yea, that schedule is extremely weird. Such precise numbers, for what reason? 572 per hour? 626 per hour? 212 per hour to 698?

The temps are nice, even centigrade numbers converted to Fahrenheit, which become really strange numbers.

Nice look you had going on there with the stringer. Would loved to have seen your face when it let go. If you keep pushing the boundaries with your work you'll get similar days. This site is where you'll build a strong foundation to work from. peace, haydo
