I took Karl Harron's "The Perfect Vessel" class last August and it took me a year to attempt it at home. It was definitely easier to do with a single mold in the kiln, not to mention a more controlled environment. As far as the design goes, I have been working on a series using wafers I make from my hands, very handy. After the third slump it looked pretty ugly, it had drag marks and it looked lumpy, so I had to do a bit of cold working, I finished up by sand blasting the inside and outside, no shiny glass here. I learned that good equipment is essential.
