My angle grinder is broken!

Hello everybody 'n Happy New Year to you all
I have a big problem.
My angle grinder is broken, don't now if it is worth my while trying to fix it. I hope i'll be able to buy a new one real quick. The broken one I bought in USA. I HAVE NO TIME now, to import a new one , I need to cold work and be done with 2 panels asap.
I need to erase 3 m'm thickness of glass in certain areas of those 2 panels... Manually it might take 5 - 10 hours on each of them. I am not strong enough to do it... I hired a worker, but took very slow for him too, so I released him.
Perhaps , If I have no choice, I'll look for another one.
So, I have diamond pads... I am wondering, is there a stronger abrasive that I can use manually??
Most unfortunately I have a rociprolap, but the panels are too big to be put in it, and bang into its walls. I am afraid they will break...
This could have been such a wonderful solution..
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance,
Havi
