What type of stainless steel can be used in a kiln?

Hello!
I would like to make a particular shape mold of stainless steel. It will need welded joints. What type of stainless is best to use in a kiln? 303, 304, 316, other? Can plain steel be used if it's lined with fiber paper? Can carbon steel be used?
Thank you in advance for any insight and advice!
Carla
p.s. has anyone ever used a carbon steel wok to slump? (just ran across some and thought i'd ask
