Silver Sand for Sandmold
Hello ! Is it possible to use Silver Sand for making a Sandmold (sand and Aluminium Hydrate) ? Jan

You might want to look up the melting point of Al.

I'm not familiar with the term "silver sand", but Bert is probably the best resource for your question. He introduced me to alumina hydrate years ago.

Yes, now I understand the problem: did translate the Dutch word, but now I realise it is bad translation 
Zilverzand (Dutch) = Quartz sand , silica sand or white sand is fine-grained, white, extremely pure sand with low iron content . It consists almost entirely of quartz (SiO 2 ) Now I know it is full of quartz I know the use in the kiln is not good, so I will going use Olivinesand. Thank you ! Jan
