metalic stains after blasting

Kiln is rewired, experiments starting.
I've noticed that after sandblasting, the glass is susceptible to staining, from lots of things, some of it seems permanent even without firing.
Thinking of trying copper sulphate, that puts greenish tinge on bronze castings, or rust in a solvent of some type. Using float.
Any clues, references welcome. As usual I'm happy to share anything I find out.

essentially any oil based paint will stick in the pores of the blasting.
If you buff and then repeat buff and repeat, you can build up a finish.
Done often enough you have the paint forming a solid film and colour.

Thanks Brad and Kevin. That is some studio Alex has, and looks interesting works. I can't get right into the pictures though, either website or flickr problem. I'll try the paint as Kevin suggested, maybe like my recent wood stain effort, painters oil paint mixed with gum turps, apply and wipe back. It's an organic Galle look I'm after.

Yah Tony. Sculptnouveau have a distributor in Australia, that has opened a new store in Melbourne. My capital. They tell me some of their products will work on glass. A trip to town coming up.
