Had to grind small spot after full fusing. Do I need to fire polish the dull spot before slumping or will the slump firing take care of it

depends how much roughness there is or if you have hand polished it to smooth. 220 grit could get you close. Warning the slightest amount of grinding residue will show up. Keep wet and clean well.
