Polishing Question

Post by jim burchett »

Hi, I am trying to get a clear polish on all sides with a Somaca wet belt sander, I am wondering if I can use cerium oxide with my Cork belt? Can't seem to find a 4x106 felt belt. THANKS

You can polish with just a cork belt. No need to use cerium oxide, but cork does like more water than other belts.

I used to use cork but they wear easily. Now I use a trizact 1800 belt, then felt with pumice and end with a felt and cerium. all available at HISglassworks
