Polishing by using Glass powder - at what temp.?

Post by Havi »

Hi everybody,
Long time no see,
good to be back here, and good to see some familiar names.
This board had always helped me [I mean to people who participate..] Hope you are all well!

I want to polish a piece by covering it with BE cloear transparent powder [1401 or 1101 /08] what temprature should I reach?
I apologise for having forgotten this basic , and of course I shall check the kiln while firing to the top temp.
I have zillions of notes, so I prefer asking someone who knows this off his sleeve..

Many thanks in advance,

Havi

Hi everybody,

As promised, I shall try post the results. To be honest the peice went thru several additional firings, as it did not shine enough. Then i added the stringers, and realized it was too much, so, refired and covered part................

Once I saw the piece, its name hit me HEAT WAVE
