ok, found the " in a nutshell" copy- Here's the problem- display says OPOF in initial window. what is that? an alternate program? If I go through the PAR buttons, it will allow me to program - but it's not in the right the right order. I tried turning it off and on. still starts on OPOF .

Try this page: https://web.archive.org/web/20060501182 ... -help.html

Then click on the link to TSC Control Manual (Technical)

If that's not the manual you want, try the West 4400 Manual.

Thanks Brad! The Wayback Machine! Oh heavens! Mr. Peabody and his boy Sherman! Thanks for the link, it is genius and so necessary now that we are hurtling into the future. I do have that TSC technical instruction manual, the answer must be in there somewhere. The manual just doesn't tell you how to actually program anything. Meanwhile, my original program is working, so the kiln is useable.
