Hi All,
am looking for a 4" thermocouple for my small kiln. I found one on Amazon, but the probe is inside the ceramic coveing. All my other probes protrude from the coverings, so am concerned that this will not give an accurate reading. there are no reviews on the product to check this. here is the product.
Any thoughts on this? thx!

Figured this out.. that thermocouple would NOT have worked. However, with the help of the folks at Continental Clay, Mpls., I learned that the 8" unit I had earlier bought, but was too long, will work if i shorten it. The thermocouple probe can be cut at the end that goes into the ceramic base. So, I will reduce the length and use that one. Problem solved!
