Greetings to all!
I'm running a network cable from my house to a shop in the backyard where my 240V/26A Glass Glow kiln is located. This network cable will connect two wireless access points, the one in my house with the one in the shop. Theoretically, this should allow me to use a computer wirelessly in the shop for notetaking and to and reach the web.
But I say "theoretically" because I'm wondering just how much wireless interference will occur when my kiln pulls current. Has anyone had any issues with this?
I don't have to use wireless in the shop; once I run the cable I have the option of using a network switch instead of a wireless access point. Wireless access is just more convenient; without it I would have to run a cable from my computer to the switch.
The shop is 12x20ft, with the kiln towards the back of the shop, in the middle of the 20ft back wall. I figure that I'd place the wireless ap as far away from the kiln as possible.
THANKS!
Frank

Re: Glass Kilns Causing Wireless Interference?
Never heard of this being a problem.
We have as many as 7 kilns running at the same time and have no trouble with our wireless network while they're on.
