Here's an example of a happy accident! The mold broke during the slumping (don't know why!) but the result is quite cool......any comments?

Accident
That's a nice piece. Sometimes those accidents are great and the piece tells us what it wants to be. Without seeing your mold I can only guess why that happened, but it looks like the mold may have been thin in that area and gave way under the weight of the glass. That's just a guess.
Anyway, congrats, it's still a neat piece

hi, it's 11" diameter.......and thanks! it really was one of those cool kiln surprises....funny how every piece since then has been fusing and slumping perfectly since that sacrifice to the kiln god!
