Fiber boaed problem

Hello
I have a problem and was wondering if anyelse has dealt with this. I have been kilnforming float glass on fiber designs my base is LDfiberboard. I have be doing this for about a year on this LDF. just recently the fiber board has started to stick in small places to the float glass I am processing
I resrayed the fiber board with Colloidel Silica thinking perhaps it was breaking down after over time. this last batch of float that I fired has large pieces of the fiber board stuck to it. I am wondering if the batch of float glass I am firing might be the problem or could it be something else.
Any body else encountered this problem. '
Thanks Bill

Hmmmm! Have you put the tin side of the float glass down against the fiber board to act as a rezist. I am sure you are because you have been havinh success up till know, BUT I just thought I would ask anyways.

I know of 2 factors, one is temperature. The hotter you go, the more it sticks. The coolest temp I know that works well is 1365ºF. The other is that tin side sticks less. If the problem persists, you can kiln wash or coat with alumina powder.

Thanks for the reply
I tend to think now it might be temp. I had been firing 16 sheets about 36" x 49"x 3/8" @ 1435 degrees with no problems. this job I am working on now I am firing 1/2"thick and the size is 38" x 68". I think the added thickness and size might be holding more heat, and causing the sticking. The odd thing is I have been doing this sort of thing for years with the same firing progams and never had this happen. will see what happens
